About the Role

Daydream Communications is seeking a part-time marketing communications assistant who will collaborate directly with the founder to produce a variety of digital content.

This position offers a very flexible schedule. It is fully remote and there are no set hours, but you must be able to complete tasks by a set deadline. Hours may vary, but on average you will need to work 10 - 15 hours per week to complete assigned projects.

Responsibilities & Requirements


Social Media

  • Review news articles to find relevant content for client social media posts

  • Draft social media posts that will be published on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

  • Create graphics to accompany posts using Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud

  • Schedule approved posts

  • Monitor for comments

Blog Posts

  • Research the assigned blog post topic and develop an outline for the post

  • Draft complete blog post once outline is approved

  • Upload to client website upon approval

Client Reports

  • Compile and analyze data using a social media analytics tool and Google Analytics

  • Write a short summary of the data for a monthly client report

  • Input the data into a Google spreadsheet

Additional responsibilities include client website edits, topic research and content development for other projects as needed.


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or public relations

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the field

  • Excellent writing skills are a must; ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences

  • In-depth knowledge of social media

  • Ability to create graphics for social media using Canva or Adobe

  • Experience creating Google spreadsheets and presentations

  • Interest in working with nonprofit and/or healthcare clients, particularly mental health and substance use prevention organizations

  • Strong organizational skills, attentive to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines
